On design.

I always ask what emotion the project is trying to evoke to serve my client. I look to the world around me for inspiration. What catches my eye? I love color, details with character and whimsy, and how an element connects to a concept unusually.

To Florence and back.

I spent a magical semester in Florence, Italy, where I learned to examine historical influences on design. Ancient Romans and contemporary Californians have one thing in common: they love the outdoors and incorporate natural vignettes into their designs.

Drops of inspiration.

Choosing the right tea is a science, but preparing it and drinking it is more of an art form. Like design, brewing a good cup of tea is the result of intuition and setting intentions from the start.
